Why The Fitted Carpet Company stands apart

Why The Fitted Carpet Company Stands Apart

We’re local—serving Kent & Sussex from Hawkhurst for decades.
We’re independent—zero sales targets, just good advice based on what fits you.
We treat your home like our own—with craftsmanship that we’re happy to stand over.
Most of our team have been with us for years—pride matters here.

When working with us

We’ll drop by your home or meet in the showroom to show samples and talk through your flooring needs.
You get clear, honest advice—for your home, not to reach a sales target.
Subfloor checks, prep, and uplift of old flooring are all handled.
Precise fitting, with all trims, thresholds, and matching parts included.
We mainly supply and fit flooring that we have measured. Fitting customer-supplied carpet may be considered by prior agreement; you must provide accurate measurements, and we do not visit to measure carpet bought online or from another retailer.
We leave your place tidy and focused on your comfort with carpets that look great and last.

Bound the ragged edges of an Oriental rug for me and transformed it. Also sold me a vinyl off cut for the top of a bench in my greenhouse. Very cheap but works really well and again transforms the look of the place. My go to place for flooring!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Fitted Carpet Company, Hawkhurst were the answer to my searching locally after a few years. Previous searches were off putting; indifferent service, inaccurate quotes, ludicrously expensive or just not a suitable selection. From the time I entered the shop through to the last day of fitting and the guy walking away, it was totally professional, caring, knowledgeable and we considered it to be value for money. A phone call from the fitter to me whilst I was at work was to double check a few details rather than him making a random guess. I appreciated that. All the team were friendly and approachable. No mess was left. I have since recommended them and friends have now had their house refitted with flooring and are also very pleased with the outcome.

Tony spent time with us ensuring we had exactly the right product that suited our requirements, the quotation arrived in very good time with a follow up call to finalise the details. From confirmation to delivery the service was efficient and well informed, with fitment that was clean, tidy and complete by professional, friendly installation teams. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning for our next project. 10/10
