Carpet Fitting in Headcorn: What to Expect

Having new carpet fitted should be straightforward. If you live in Headcorn or a nearby village, The Fitted Carpet Company can help you choose a suitable carpet, arrange a home measure and organise professional installation. We are a family-run flooring business with a showroom in Hawkhurst, established in 1972.

Start with the carpet, not just the fitting date

How a room is used makes a difference to the carpet we recommend. A busy staircase needs something resilient; a bedroom may be better suited to a softer pile. We can talk you through wool, wool-blend and easy-care carpets, and show you samples in our Hawkhurst showroom.

Measuring and planning the installation

We arrange a measure so we can assess the room, doorways, existing flooring and any preparation needed. Carpet widths, joins, pile direction and stair details all affect how an installation is planned. We’ll discuss the appropriate underlay and any uplift or disposal before providing a complete quotation for the agreed work.

What happens on fitting day?

Our fitters prepare the space as agreed, install the carpet and finish edges and doorways neatly. If furniture needs moving, please discuss this when arranging your quotation; items must be emptied beforehand. We don’t plane doors, so any door adjustments required after fitting would need to be arranged separately.
